A Personal Message From Specialist Physical Therapist, Bob Brady…

Bob Brady
Specialist Physical Therapist
Having participated in athletics my whole life, I know how important sports participation is for our physical and psychological well-being. Throughout the years, I have also experienced the frustration of not being able to participate. Knee injuries and surgeries kept me out of sport (but introduced me to physical therapy) when I was younger. In more recent years, broken collarbones and a severe episode of back pain and sciatica kept me off my bike and out of the gym for extended periods of time.

Having gone through all of this, my goal when working with athletes (runners, CrossFitters, rowers, cyclist, and weekend warriors) is to keep them doing some form of exercise, help them recover quickly from their injury, and build them back up to tolerate all they want to do. Too often, I hear from sports participants that because of pain and injury, they gradually started doing less and less to “rest’ the injury, but never really recover fully and get back to what they were doing. They are stuck in a cycle of pain/injury, rest, feel better, start again, and pain comes back. Don’t let yourself get stuck in this cycle!

At ProMotion, I help people recover from:
  • Tendon-related pain in the Hamstring, knee cap region, or Achilles
  • Foot pain that keeps someone from running
  • Back pain that can limit the most motivated Crossfit athlete, runner, cyclist, or rower.
  • Shoulder pain that limits overhead lifting activities
  • Strains/Pulls of the Hamstring, calf, quads
  • Knee Pain that limits running, lifting, or cycling

(and how happy they are now...)

"Fantastic experience with Bob at ProMotion. I am a mom of 2 young athletes ( 14 & 17). Both experienced sports related injuries recently. I am AMAZED at how much Bob helped both heal. What I liked best about ProMotion is that Bob gave the boys tools to strengthen their bodies outside of the weekly sessions, making them accountable for their recovery. In the past we have spent lots of time/ money on multiple visits to PT without the guidance we received from Bob. He is a healer and an athlete so understands how important getting back to your sport is. Really can't say enough!" READ MORE >>

"I couldn't be happier with my experience at ProMotion Physical Therapy. The bottom line: I'm back to doing what I had been doing before I was injured. Beyond that, Bob Brady listened to what I was confident caused the injuries and to what my goals were moving forward. As an athlete, I am very tuned in to my body's physical symptoms and performance. Bob understands that, so the conversations were mutually respectful discussions. He was able to diagnose what was going on and provide home strength and stretching exercises along with about six physical therapy sessions and and now I'm back to doing everything I could do before. I will say however, that I am a good patient and did everything outside of the sessions he asked me to do in terms of strength and stretching exercises. That is a key part of getting better… A combination of good physical therapy sessions and a patient willing to do what's needed to be done outside of the sessions. He also provided a plan for me so that I gradually moved forward without re-injuring myself again. I highly recommend Bob Brady and ProMotion Physical Therapy." READ MORE >>
