I recently came across an article in Prevention Magazine which discusses how someone should sleep to avoid back pain. Unfortunately, like a lot of information in common media and magazines, the information in this article is not accurate and not supported by evidence. It incorrectly asserts that there is a "correct" position for us to maintain while we are sleeping in order to not "injure" our back.
